Pause while your model is still easy to change. Work with someone who has not been watching every step of your process.
Designer: 60-second walkthrough
Show the model from the top, front, side, and underside. Explain:
- the user and purpose;
- the most important success criterion;
- one decision you are proud of;
- one part you are uncertain about.
Reviewer: strength, risk, next step
Give one of each:
- Strength: identify a specific decision that supports the purpose or criteria.
- Risk: identify a possible problem involving use, recognition, measurement, strength, connection, overhang, orientation, or waste.
- Next step: recommend one action the designer can complete now.
Designer: respond
Record the exact feedback and choose one response:
- Accept: make the suggested change.
- Adapt: use the idea in a different way.
- Reject with evidence: explain why another decision better meets the criteria.
Capture a screenshot before making the next change.
